The City of La Center is seeking dynamic and self-motivated City residents to fill a vacant position on the La Center Planning Commission as an Alternate.
The Planning Commission is comprised of five (5) volunteer citizens who advise the City Council on planning, development and growth issues for the community.
Planning Commission Alternates serve five (5) year terms. The time commitment includes regular attendance of meetings held on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in City Hall or a designated location, except on holidays, in which event the Planning Commission will convene at the call of the Chairperson on the next business day following the holiday. Eligible applicants must reside within the city limits.
How to Apply:
Interested candidates must submit the following materials:
- A cover letter explaining why the candidate is interested inbeing appointed to the vacant position they’re applying for and description of what the 2-3 priorities should be for the City as the community continues to grow.
- A completed Planning Commission Application
- A resume is optional.
