Code Enforcement

La Center Code Enforcement responds to citizen complaints regarding building, zoning, land use and nuisance code violations.
Code Enforcement is here to work in partnership with the citizens of La Center to maintain the safety, health, welfare, and livability of our neighborhoods.

The mission of Code Enforcement is to promote and maintain a safe and desirable living and working environment. We help maintain and improve the quality of our community by administering a fair and unbiased enforcement program to correct violations of city codes and land use requirements.

Report a City of La Center Code Violation

Hours: Tuesdays & Wednesdays / 8 am to 5 pm
Thursdays / 8 am to 12 pm.

The code enforcement workload is almost entirely driven by the complaints of private citizens. Code Enforcement Officers do not proactively survey the city looking for violations.
