In addition to the rental fee a $50.00 cleaning deposit is required. If clean-up after your event is more than $50.00, you will be responsible for the difference.
No Rental Fee for:
- Non-Profit groups who are community based and IRS recognized
- City of La Center sponsored events
- School sponsored events
Monday-Thursday and Friday before 5pm.
If you qualify for a no fee rental:
- Proof of insurance and a special events permit is still required for events over 50 people.
- A $50 cleaning deposit is also still required.
Special Event Permit: Depending on the type of event you are hosting, you may need a Special Events Permit. Typically, if an event is going to involve more than fifty (50) people and/or impact public facilities such as streets or sidewalks, a Special Events Permit will be required. The form can be found on our website at: Special Event Permit

The Holley Park Covered Area is free to rent but does require a $50.00 cleaning deposit. If fifty or more guest are anticipated, then a Special Events Permit is required along with a liability insurance certificate.
Notes:
- There is no power available at the Holley Park covered picnic area.
- The Holley Park Covered Picnic Area seats approximately 20
- Holley Park has total of 92 parking spaces with an additional 4 spaces for handicap parking

Restrictions and Prohibitions
Vending Location and Time
Public Property/Parks: Vending is only allowed in conjunction with a city-permitted special event or in approved designated areas (call City Hall).
Note: A separate vending permit is not required to vend at a special event or on private property.
Private Property: This permit is not for vending on private property.
Operating Hours: Business shall only be conducted between 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.
Vending Sites: The city reserves the right to limit the number of vending permit sites in any given area.
Licensed Motor Vehicle Vending Units
Allowed: May pass through and conduct business within public parks and residential areas.
Prohibited: Conducting business from one established location (unless otherwise allowed).
Time Limit: No longer than three hours of operation at one allowable location.
Operating Hours: Business shall only be conducted between 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.
Permit Revocation
A permit may be revoked for, but not limited to:
Fraud, misrepresentation, or false statements in the application.
Conviction of a felony or a misdemeanor involving moral turpitude.
Any violation of the La Center Municipal code.
Conducting business in a manner that constitutes a breach of peace or a menace to public health, safety, or welfare.
Vending Permit Application Checklist
Application: Complete and submit the application form.
Fee: $20 (Non-profit and qualified exemptions are $0).
Certificate of Insurance: Policy must cover public liability and property damage for at least $1,000,000.
Proof of Licensing: Submit proof of your State Business License and City of La Center endorsement.
Employee Verification (if applicable): If an employee of another Vending permittee, submit written verification of the employment relationship signed by the employer.
