Community Center and Park Rentals

We are glad you are considering using one of our parks or the Community Center for your event.  We take great pride in our public facilities and strive to keep our rental rates reasonable and the rental process simple.

Holley Park Covered Picnic Area



The facilities are free to rent but do require a $50.00 cleaning deposit.  If fifty or more guest are anticipated, then a Special Events Permit is required along with a liability insurance certificate.

  • There is power at the Sternwheeler Park Amphitheatre Gazebo for a $10.00 fee.
  • There is no power available at the Holley Park covered picnic area.
  • The Holley Park Covered Picnic Area (seats approximately 20)
  • Holley Park has total of 92 parking spaces with an additional 4 spaces for handicap parking.


  • Power at Sternwheeler Park Amphitheatre Gazebo $10.00
  • Refundable Cleaning Deposit for either park $50.00
  • Fifty (50) or more guests – Special Events Permit Required $50.00

Rental rates are charged based on use.


  • Meeting Room Only $15.00/hour

    (2 hour minimum)

  • Meeting Room with Commercial Kitchen Use $35.00/hour

    (2 hour minimum)

  • Commercial Kitchen Use Only $25.00/hour

    (2 hour minimum)

  • Full Use Event $200.00

    (More than 5 hours)

In addition to the rental fee a refundable $50.00 cleaning deposit is required.  If clean-up after your event is more than $50.00, you will be responsible for the difference.

No Rental Fee for: 

  • Non-Profit groups who are community based and IRS recognized
  • City of La Center sponsored events
  • School sponsored events
  • Governmental agencies that reserve the facility Monday through Thursday and Friday before 5:00 pm.
  • Proof of insurance is required for events over 50 people.
  • There is no rental fee, but a $50 cleaning deposit is required.

Maximum occupancy is 108 sitting and 245 standing.

Special Event Permit:  Depending on the type of event you are hosting, you may need a Special Events Permit.  Typically, if an event is going to involve more than fifty (50) people and/or impact public facilities such as streets or sidewalks, a Special Events Permit will be required.  The form can be found on our website at:

Reservations are taken up to 12 months in advance.  Full rental fee is required to secure the date.  Please download a Rental Application to begin the reservation process.
