A Proclamation Honoring the 20th Legislative Delegation for their Work During the 2025 Legislative Session

A PROCLAMATION HONORING THE 20TH LEGISLATIVE DELEGATION

FOR THEIR WORK DURING THE 2025 LEGISLATIVE SESSION

 

WHEREAS, Senator John Braun, Representative Peter Abbarno and Representative Ed Orcutt represent the City of La Center and the 20th legislative district in Olympia, and have enthusiastically supported La Center’s legislative priorities throughout the 2025 legislative session; and

 

WHEREAS, the efforts put forward by La Center’s legislative delegation resulted in a successful request from the supplemental Capital budget for $400,000 to support pre-development activities for the Downtown 2.0 project; and

 

WHEREAS, the efforts forward by La Center’s legislative delegation resulted in passage of House Bill 1039 to allow the city to provide sewer service to the Cowlitz Tribe; and

 

WHEREAS, each legislator displayed active partnership with the city by maintaining an open-door policy, and were thoughtful, supportive and gracious when meetings were requested and through communication from La Center on legislative matters; and

 

WHEREAS, the city would like to express genuine gratitude for the hard work and successes throughout the 2025 legislative session by La Center’s legislators to improve our community.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED as follows:

 

The City of La Center thanks each member of the 20th legislative delegation: Senator John Braun, Representative Peter Abbarno and Representative Ed Orcutt for their efforts and extraordinary teamwork in Olympia during the 2025 legislative session.
