Summer Time Means Heading Out to the River

playing in the river

Whether you are heading to the river alone, with friends, partners, kids, or your dogs, the river is low and ready to enjoy. The City has a wonderful park named Pollock Park located at the end of Pollock Road which is found off of Timmen Road. The park has picnic tables and a kayak dock. The kayak dock can also be used for paddle boards, canoes, inner-tubes and other non-motorized boats and floatation devices. If you aren’t much for boating, jump in and go for a swim. The river has a slow speed swimming.

If you aren’t much for water, check out our many other lovely parks and trails throughout the City by visiting the Parks page.
