City of La Center Launches New Online System for Permits
LA CENTER, Wash – In an effort to become more sustainable and environmentally conscious, the City of La Center has launched a new online permitting system.
The transition to a digital permitting system was funded by a $194,500 Paper to Digital Permitting grant from the Washington State Department of Commerce. The system will offer a quick and convenient way to submit building, land use and engineering permits, as well as code enforcement concerns.
The online permitting system, Cloudpermit, will allow users to create an account and submit permits in a simplified manner. It also enables applicants to easily communicate with staff, receive timely permit status updates and request inspections.
The transition to online permitting begins June 2025. The city will continue to accept physical permits during this time but encourages applicants to transition to the online platform.
